FAQ

1How many passengers can Bay Voyager carry?
12 passengers. Children, no matter the size count as 1 person.
2Will I get seasick?
We have had only one person get sea sick on the last 5 minuets of the cruise, during the calmest part of the trip. If you are prone to getting sea sick, wear a patch or take appropriate medications prior to your departure time.
3What should I wear?
Dress in layers. Even on the hottest of days, San Francisco Bay can be cold. Wool socks are always nice, closed toed shoes, hat. We provide you with a foul weather jacket and pants that help keep you warm. Most importantly, dress in layers.
4Do I have to wear a life jacket? Can I bring my own?
It is required by the United States Coast Guard that all passengers on board wear a Type 1 PFD (Personal Flotation Device). We provide all guests with lifejackets. If you have your own type 1 life jacket, and you wish to wear it, you may wear it with approval from your captain only. No exceptions.
5Will I get wet?
Sometimes. We provide you with premium West Marine and Helly Hansen foul weather gear to keep you warm and dry. However, you still may get a little wet. Please leave your most expensive pair of suede or leather shoes at home. Ladies receive a free Bay Voyager hairdo.
6May we bring Food or Drinks on board?
It is not advised at all unless you like feeding seagulls your expensive sandwich.
7Can you drop us off at Alcatraz?
Not without me becoming an inmate… sorry.
8Can I fall out of the boat?
The chances of you falling out of the boat are as likely as you falling out of a Taxicab or bus. In other words, it takes effort.
9What happens if it rains?
Severe weather in this area of California is rare and cruises will proceed as scheduled in light rain and other mild weather conditions. In the rare event that we have to cancel a cruise, you will have the opportunity to reschedule your tickets (subject to availability) or receive credit towards a future event.
10Is there bathroom on board the boat?
No toilets on board. Make sure to use the restroom before we depart. However we do have male and female emergency urinals. Good grief those are fun.
11 Is the boat for charter?
Yes, the boat is available for private charter. We can also pick up and drop off at different locations, make multiple stops and change the route to accommodate your guests. (Additional fees apply).
